Overview

The Nyerere National Park is a majestic place in which to see Wildlife. Animals and Landscapes are what we come on Safari to see – and this park certainly doesn’t disappoint. With us you can take full advantage of the Selous offering one of the most diverse range of activities available in any natural wildlife parks in the world. Experiment with the different activities available to you by either driving, boating or walking safari.

Getting there

  • This tour starts and ends in Dar Es Salaam
  • This operator can help select your international flights, but you’ll have to book them yourself
  • Fly to/from Julius Nyerere Airport in Dar es Salaam
  • A transfer from and back to the airport can be arranged for an extra cost
  • Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged for an extra cost

Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Mtemere Airstrip

Land at Mtemere Airstrip at 1000hrs and our driver will pick you up to the Lodge to have some food before we go to start a boat safari.

At 1200hrs we will pick you to Mtemere gate to start a Boat Safari that will start at 1300hrs by understanding that at that time it will be easy to spot many animals heading to the river to drink some water.
You will have lunch in the safari with soft drinks and water included.

Day 2: Nyerere National Park Game Drive

In this majestic safari you will spot 80% of animals that you would see in a Game Drive Safari. 1700hrs will mark and end of our safari and start to sail back to the lodge while still enjoying to see animals.
After the night at the lodge the next morning will be for departure and you will be offered a walking safari whereby at 0600hrs you will be taken to Mtemere gate to have that safari which ends for just an hour.

Lastly you will wait for the aircraft to fly back home.

  • Transport in 4X4 Toyota Land Cruisers with pop up roof for game viewing.
  • Park entry fees, Government fees & taxes
  • Full board accommodation whilst on safari in the above mentioned suite

  • Enough bottled mineral water throughout the safari
  • Transfers to & from the International Airport and Moshi.
