Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
You will be picked up at your hotel and start your approximate two hour journey to the Tarangire National Park. The park, with its savannah, seasonal swamps and baobab trees, is well known for its large number of elephant herds. During the dry seasons the Tarangire River, being one of the main sources of water in the area, attract various animals, such as bushbucks, hartebeests and giraffes from not only the park itself but the neighboring Lake Manyara National Park. After an extensive game drive, enjoyed from the open roof of the vehicle, you will leave the park to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
