Destinations: 3 Days Mikumi National Park Including Maasai Culture

Enjoy 3 days safari in Mikumi national park. Pickup and drop off from Dar es Salaam. Pickup Morning at your place in Dar es Salaam and drive for 6 hours to Mikumi National park. At evening you will see a Maasai traditional including houses, polygamist marriage, make fire by using sticks, next day you will enjoy a full game drive inside the park. Stay in midrange accommodation located outside the park.

Getting there

  • Fly to/from Julius Nyerere Airport in Dar es Salaam
  • A transfer from and back to the airport can be arranged for an extra cost

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es salaam - Mikumi National Park plus Maasai culture

Pickup at your hotel at 7:30am in Dar es salaam drive to Mikumi national park (6-7 hours), having hot lunch in Morogoro town. You will be able to see same of animals while on the way to Mikumi. You will be at Mikumi at 3:30pm and you will go to your accommodation facility to pack your bag then to the Maasai Boma to see their culture. Dinner overnight at Mikumi Bastian camp.

Day 2: Full Game at Mikumi National Park

After breakfast with picnic lunch drive to the park for the game drive. Enjoy game drive inside the park drive with great chance to spot many animals. Take your lunch in afternoon and proceed with game drive while dinner and overnight at Bastian camp. When you are in Mikumi you will be able to see wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo and elephants.

Day 3: Mikumi NP to Dar es Salaam at hotel, airport or ferry

After breakfast with picnic lunch at 7am depart to Dar es Salaam with en route game drive. Arrive late afternoon at your place/airport or Ferry.
